Birthdays, Swim Season, and Sandals
Our plane landed in Chicago at 11:35 pm last night and now it’s back to reality… for a few days at least. I just returned from training and exploring with two of my agents at two of the Sandals properties in St. Lucia. We started at Sandals Regency La Toc and then moved to Sandals Grande St. Lucian. We learned so much and had a lot of fun as well!
Needless to say, last week was a whirlwind. We celebrated Anna and Clara’s 11th Birthday on Monday with presents, faux Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, and my third time making Sally’s Favorite White Cake Recipe. It’s a perfect birthday cake!
The trio also started swim last week – their first night as Ottawa Dolphins was on the girls’ birthday. So far, so good! They are enjoying it and I think it will be a good fit for us this season.
Mike held the fort down at home, so I don’t have a meal plan to share from last week. We had tacos on Tuesday evening and Jimmy John’s before I headed to the airport on Wednesday. Mike took care of the rest of the week while I was gone.
Obviously, the girls were very unhappy while I was away.
Chip had a “ruff” life while I was gone too. Mike took him to work with him and he was able to be the king of Social Security for a few days. Mike doesn’t have any employees in the office right now due to COVID, so it was just Mike, Chip, and the guard.
Chip passed out on the floor of Mike’s office.
Now that the trio is older, we can text when I’m traveling for work. These two gems were sent to me by Anna on Sunday. How cute are Chip and Clara?! I think he loves her!
Another busy week ahead as the trio’s fall break is this weekend. We are headed on a road trip around Lake Michigan on Thursday and excited to see some fall colors!
