Just Another…
Last weekend, the Hunn’s were here until Tuesday afternoon and then the rest of the week was pretty normal. Art, dryland for swim since the pool is still down, volleyball practice for the girls, and Scholastic Bowl. Things are definitely ramping up with activities since the trio is back in in-person school. Mike worked one 14 hour day last week too. With all the hustle, the week seemed to fly by in a blink. The highlight of the week was definitely the inauguration.
Mike and I did manage to leave the house for about an hour on Friday evening sans kiddos. We grabbed subs at Obee’s and ice cream from Culver’s for an impromptu mini-date.
Owen came back on Saturday and he and Mike went to play poker at Josh’s on Saturday evening. They had fun and then Owen was here on Sunday through lunchtime. We introduced him to the deliciousness that is Casey’s breakfast pizza. 😉
I spent most of the weekend working. I have a few crazy weeks coming up and several deadlines to meet.
Meals last week:
I want to highlight two meals I made the week before since I didn’t do our meal plan rundown!
Homemade Crunch Wrap Supremes – so good! The frying is a bit messy — but still worth it!
Homemade Wonton Soup – we don’t typically eat Asian food, but this was really good. I used this recipe and added these dumplings!
Monday: Dinner with the Hunn fam – meatball subs, Caesar salad, Clara made brownies and we had ice cream too
Tuesday: Tacos
Wednesday: I was glued to the inauguration coverage most of the day so we phoned it in and picked up Rootbeer Stand
Thursday: Mike worked late so I made the trio breakfast for dinner – waffles, cheesy scrambled eggs, yogurt, and fruit
Friday: Obees
Saturday: I didn’t eat dinner. Mike was with Owen at poker and I was engrossed in work. Mike did bring me home an apple pie from McDonalds. 😉
Sunday: hamburgers on the grill, French fries, baked beans
