Peloton
In June of 2019, I bought Mike a Peloton bike for Father’s Day. I had been eyeing them for about 2 years, but when he said he was interested, I jumped at the opportunity. It has been one of the best items we’ve ever purchased – especially when the gyms were closed due to the pandemic.
Mike and I are both around 135 rides, plus there are tons of other workout options in the app – bootcamp, core work, arms, yoga, meditation, etc. For rides, the options include live instructors, prerecorded classes, scenic rides, and even an option to just ride if you’re focusing on something else – like a fun TV show. I enjoy the live classes (my favorite instructor is Cody Rigsby!) but lately, I’ve been doing the just ride option so I can watch Workin’ Moms on Netflix while I ride. ?
The trio also rides the bike, but not as often. It was nice to have it as an option for their daily physical activity during the first part of the pandemic when it was still cold outside. Mike and I definitely use the bike much more than they do though! This morning we both rode 10 miles before 7 am. The biggest perk of the Peloton is the Peloton community. There are several supportive and fun Facebook groups that are geared towards Peloton users and the support and camaraderie are some of my favorite aspects of the bike! Unsurprisingly, I’ve found a way to combine my love of Disney with my love of the Peloton and I started a Facebook group for those of us who love Disney and love our Peloton’s. Disney Peloton Riders is a fun group and we love sharing when we find a ride that is mostly Disney music. Here are a couple of the playlists from two of the Disney rides — and we are hoping for more!
