I’ve reached the point where I don’t remember what our life was like before we had a dog…

Now that the trio is back in school, Chip sleeps at my feet most of the day while I work.  He absolutely loves to go for “walkies” and car rides and knows the words for walk and “go bye-bye” well.  He will trot right to the door or out to the car like a pro.  We have integrated him into all parts of our daily life and just this week he has started sleeping with Anna (this necessitated a new bed, which is why this wasn’t occurring previously).  He truly is the best dog and by far the best result of 2020!

Chip rides with me when I take the trio to their activities.  On Tuesday afternoons, Bo trains at the gym and then all three go from the gym to art class.  On the ride home from art class, when I’m typically solo with Chippy, Chip thinks he should sit on my lap.  Let me just say that trying to drive with a French Bulldog on your lap does not work…  So I finally broke down and purchased this car seat booster from Chewy.com (yes, I know that’s a ridiculous price for a car seat for a dog, but I did buy it on sale and desperate times…).

We left the car seat inside for about a week so he could get used to it and then I strapped it in my car for the first time yesterday.  Chip freakin’ loves it!  It boosts him so he can see out the window — and I can clip it to his collar so he can’t roam about the car.  I pulled into the garage and opened the back door — expecting he would get out — and I took a few items inside — and then turned around and he was still sitting in his car seat looking at me.  He didn’t want to get out of the car and wasn’t ready to be home yet!
