Hanging In There

Spread the love

Mike, Clara, Anna, and I are still feeling fine and don’t have symptoms.  Keeping Bo in the basement and wearing masks around the house is — a lot — but I’m grateful we are all (mostly) fine and so far Bo has continued to say it just feels like he has a bad case of strep throat.

I guess it isn’t really surprising that my anxiety is in overdrive.  I rode 25 miles on the Peloton at 2:30 in the morning to combat it.  It was a good ride and it did make me feel better, so I guess I’ll run with it… or pedal with it as the case may be.

I’ve been surprised and humbled by all of the people touching base with us and offering support and to drop things off, etc.  It’s nice to feel supported and to know we have friends we can turn to if we need anything.  I think most of my close friends could tell I was reeling a bit yesterday when we got Bo’s results and they have been wonderful about talking me off the ledge and reminding me about what is important.

Besides the obvious anxiety of keeping my family healthy, I am supposed to be hosting a training with 10 of my agents starting 2 weeks from today.  If the rest of us don’t have symptoms, and I am able to get a negative test before we go, this shouldn’t be an issue — but everything just feels so upside down.  This is a huge training for my agency and has been in the works for nearly a year — and I desperately want to make it happen — but not at the expense of giving anyone COVID.

Hopefully, I’ll have something more upbeat to post about tomorrow!
