Oahu Spring Break – April 2021
This trip was pure magic…
It was the perfect spring break getaway and just what our family needed to relax and reconnect. We loved every minute! We did a split stay in Waikiki and at Disney’s Aulani, which was also perfect. Since this was our third family trip to Oahu, we know the island pretty well, and honestly, that just made the trip even better. We were able to try some new-to-us places and frequent some of our favorite spots too.
Is it really a vacation if there aren’t treats involved? We went to the Dole Planation (twice!), Waiola Shave Ice (loved my Uncle Joe’s Rainbow!) and of course had ice cream and shave ice shaped like Mickey at Aulani. Their smiles are worth every calorie!
We spent most of our days adventuring – hiking around the island – including Diamond Head, swimming in Waimea falls, exploring beaches – some of our favorites, and a few new ones, going to the Aloha Swap Meet, and exploring on the North Shore. We’d spent the day adventuring and then head back to the room to make dinner and watch our latest family show – Survivor – before early bedtimes and getting up to do it all again. Highlights included early morning reading on our lanai, ordering cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory to be delivered at 9:30 at night, and lots and lots of quality time with my four favorite people.
We spent our last few days in Ko Olina, enjoying some of our favorites in the area and of course, enjoying Aulani. We made many laps together around the lazy river and soaked in all of the good feels until we can be there again. Definitely one of my favorite places on earth!
I’d love to help you plan a trip to Hawaii and/or Aulani. Part of the reason I named my agency Pineapple Escapes is because of my love for Hawaii and I enjoy sharing that love with others!
