Las Vegas – May 2021

Spread the love

This was such a fun trip!  My agency is starting to have quite a pattern of little “pop-up” trips.  One of us will post something in our group and within a few hours we’ve booked a trip together.  We might all have a bit of an obsession with travel – and as the “ringleader”, I’m always up for a trip!  I guess we will count it as one of the perks of being agents together! 🙂

For this trip, Mike and I flew out on Saturday morning, then Owen and Ashley joined us on Sunday evening, and then Taylor, Leslie, and Samantha trickled in so that we were all there on Tuesday together.  It was nice to have a bit of time with Mike before my agents arrived.  We enjoyed exploring the strip, went to see The Mentalist, and ate plenty of good food – including my favorite – Bouchon at The Venetian!

Owen and Ashley arrived Sunday evening and we head to Nacho Daddy.  Mike and Owen did the scorpion shot… it definitely wasn’t for me… but they seemed okay with it! 😉 It’s always great to spend time with Owen and Ashley – crazy to think those two have been besties since sixth grade!  Owen and I are like fire and ice, but somehow it works!

On Monday, we met up with Taylor for lunch and then started planning for our adventures!  Leslie arrived mid-afternoon and we decided to check out some of the wedding chapels in the area. It was an adventure!

We left Mike and Owen in the casino while we exploreD the wedding chapels and then met back up with them for dinner.  Then Owen, Ashley, Mike, and I head to see Jabbawockeez.  It was… interesting..

The next morning, Samantha had arrived, and we went exploring!  We toured numerous resorts, visited the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage, had lunch at Black Tap, took a gondola ride, visited an ice bar, and then headed to Fremont Street!  After we had our fill of Fremont, we headed to the High Roller to cap off our evening!

We took Wednesday a bit slower – starting at the Vegas sign and touring hotels in the opposite direction of the previous day.  We even took a bit of a break in the afternoon, before heading back out to celebrate Cinco De Mayo and our 40th Birthday girl – Samantha!  We started the evening at Mandalay Bay – touring the resort and visiting the shark reef and having the required Mexican for dinner. Then we headed to Thunder Down Under, which was pretty darn funny.  We were picked up by a limo after the show and headed back to the Vegas sign for more pictures and to cruise down the strip.  Have you really lived if you haven’t stuck your head out the window of a limo while cruising the strip? 🙂

While we definitely learned a lot, the best part was being able to spend time together!  There is nothing quite like being able to laugh and have fun together! I think this picture of Leslie, Taylor, Ashley, and Samantha cracking up is one of my favorites from the entire trip… 😉

Ashley, Samantha, and Taylor headed home on Thursday morning, but Leslie and I didn’t have flights until Friday, so we were able to spend Thursday relaxing!  We both went for massages, had lunch poolside, and read our books by the pool before indulging in a delicious dinner.  It was a great recovery day before flying back home to normalcy!
